I’m Brian Junyor. This policy covers brianjunyor.com, Ordinary Things at ordinarythings.org, and the requests and subscriptions offered through them.
I do not sell or rent your personal information, or share it for someone else’s marketing.
What I collect and why
- When you contact me, I collect your name, email address, and message so I can respond.
- When you request a PDF, I collect your email address to send the download link and handle your request.
- When you subscribe to emails, I collect your email address and subscription choices to send what you signed up for.
- The services running these sites also receive technical information, such as IP addresses, browser details, pages visited, and request times. This information helps deliver the sites, prevent abuse, and understand how people use them. Forms and subscription tools may record technical information with your request.
Please share only the information needed for your message or request.
Email choices
Beyond responding to your message or fulfilling your request, I won’t send you other emails unless you opt in to receive them. Sending a message or requesting a PDF does not automatically subscribe you to updates.
If a form includes an optional email signup, you are subscribed only if you choose it. You can unsubscribe from mailings at any time using the unsubscribe option provided or by contacting me.
Services that help run the sites
I use service providers to host the sites, manage forms and subscriptions, and deliver email. Those services process information needed to do that work. Ordinary Things uses Bear; brianjunyor.com uses WordPress, Forminator, and MailPoet. Website-hosting and email services help deliver messages. Information may also be disclosed when required by law.
Analytics and cookies
I use website and email analytics to understand readership and engagement and improve the sites and emails.
brianjunyor.com uses Google Analytics 4 to send Google information about site visits and interactions, including pages viewed, browser and device details, and approximate location. Google Analytics uses first-party cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions.
Ordinary Things uses Bear’s site statistics and a cookie that remembers your time zone.
MailPoet’s mailing-list settings enable email-open and link-click tracking, browser time-zone collection, and cookies that can connect email activity with visits to the site. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
Stored information and your requests
Contact messages, PDF requests, and associated IP addresses are stored until manually removed; they do not currently expire automatically. Some subscription and email-sending records also remain until manually removed. Unsubscribing stops mailings but does not automatically delete stored information.
To ask about your information, request a copy, correct it, or request deletion, use the contact form. You can also write to Brian Junyor, P.O. Box 1, Sandia Park, NM 87047.
Links to other websites, including book retailers, are governed by those sites’ privacy policies. I’ll post updates to this policy here and change the date above.
